what we know about film openings
-showing the genre the film
-narrative gives a little insight of whats happening and gives the audience an idea
-character, showing the potential main characters or relevant characters and introduces them
-atmosphere is showing what the feeling is like in the setting and how characters are feeling
-showing the films for the film and sets a tone for the rest of the film
-settings where the films is being potentially set
-the sound sets the mood, this can be music or dialogue from characters
-titles is showcasing the actors, producers and showing the production company
-don't reveal too much
- engages the viewer to watch the rest of the film
This will help us film our opening as we know we have an idea on what to include in our one and it will make ours better as we are taking these ideas from making a good film opening and making it into ours.
