RESIT-Target Audeince profile for your new film
A demographic audience profile defines groups based on things like age, gender, income, education and occupation.
a-upper middle class
b-middle class
c1lower middle class
c2-skilled working class
d-working class
e-Those at the lowest level of subsistence
Thriller Movies could be aimed at any of the letter codes above. This is because it has such a wide audience. However some Thrillers do not appeal to all audiences as there is many sub-genres within the genre, such as a psychological thriller may not appeal to the E code as they could be less educated if they are unemployed so would not see the appeal in a psychological thriller.
Thrillers are usually aimed at more mature viewers. The film Se7en aimed its target audience for over 18's and so was the Silence of the Lambs, this is due to some strong language and adult content. Some films are more suitable for a younger audience such as Jurassic Park and this is still a thriller however the content is more suitable and children still get scared watching this.
I am going to target the audience with a demographic of C to D with the hope that the film will sell online and as DVD's but it probably wont hit the cinema as we are an independent production and aiming for a niche audience. The target age range would be 15 to 30 year old and I will appeal to this age because the actors will be this age and we will include content that the audience can relate to such as cars and supermarkets.

RESIT-Final costumes and prop decisions
As I need limited amount of props in my film as due to the plot is somebody stalking woman in a car. I just need two cars as one that is following and one being followed, I also need to use a mirror within the car due to the male antagonist looking at this whilst driving. As my genre is a thriller and the setting is mysterious I don't need to need excess props as with a limited amount can cause further mystery and make people question the ones in show. I could add to my idea and make the male have a weapon or appear to have one in the piece. This could create tension and make the audience question why. I have decided to keep the same idea of dark colours being worn by the male to keep the image of mysterious and creepy, this will fit my genre as it will incorporate the key conventions of the genre and make it look more like a real production.

RESIT-Final location decisions
Morrison car park is the option i used due to it being very spacious and it looking like a road comparing to different flooring of other car parks, also has many lampposts which is good lighting as I am filming at night. It also has a great surroundings of a busy road near it. I will film in the car moving around these streets so the location is around this part of the city.

Looking at the responses above it's clear that I need to have a sub-genre of a horror to make the film scary as 13 out of 15 people expect this. In my film opening I will create tension through sound effects that will give the impression that the film will be scary.

RESIT-Casting for new film
I needed a female to star in the opening as I wanted a woman to be the followed as I could represent many representations from this. Therefore I wanted a young adult as they can give off representations of vulnerability. Therefore I cast Charlotte Steggles who is 21 years old as the main actress as she fits what I imagined the female protagonist.
For the male antagonist I wanted someone who was a similar age to the female antagonist as I want to showcase to the audience that they were once in a relationship or they are going to be so having them similar ages can make it easier for the audience to work this out. Therefore I will cast Matt Russell who is the same age as the actress previously stated as he fits the representations i want to give off.
